Designed for:          Information technology professionals who are new to project management or who want a refresher  on the fundamental concepts and use of PM software.

Learn                         A methodology for IT projects that starts with planning & scheduling and goes through tracking and reporting.

Modules                    Objective

Scope                        Develop project objectives and define the project scope.

Requirements         Build a network of achievements & sub-achievements.                               

Charter                      Define the project charter, including authority & accountability structures.

Risk &                        Define the project risk & assumptions.                     

Assumptions

Work                          Build the work breakdown structure from the project plan. Define the summary tasks, sub-tasks Structure                     and individual assignments for each team member with completion dates.

Predecessor            Use the software to create predecessor relationships between assignments, yielding a network Network                  of tasks.                     

Resource                  Assign individuals to tasks in the work breakdown structure, quantifying the duration of the Assignments           assignments and gaining commitment to their accountability and schedule.

Critical Path             Use critical path and PERT to analyze the network of tasks.

Team                          Resolve team conflicts and avoid potential problems.
